Francesco D’Orazio received the B.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Mechanical Engineering from Universita Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy, in 2022, and the M.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Mechatronics and Robotics, from Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy, in 2024. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Pavia, Pavia, Italy, where he is a member of RAMSLAB. His research focuses on intelligent robotic manufacturing, with particular emphasis on robotic composite manufacturing, robotic filament winding, automated fiber placement, motion planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-robot coordination. His work combines robotics, artificial intelligence, optimization, computer vision, and digital twins to develop autonomous and adaptive robotic systems for advanced manufacturing. His research also includes the design and development of novel robotic end-effectors, process monitoring strategies, and human-centered robotic solutions for next-generation industrial production. He is the author of publications in international journals and conferences.
