Davide Zhou received the M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy, in 2023. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Pavia, Pavia, Italy, where he is a member of RAMSLAB. His research focuses on the development of automated robotic solutions for advanced manufacturing, with particular emphasis on collaborative and industrial robotics, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and sensor integration for composite material processing and surface finishing. He has been involved in research on robotic contact and non-contact measurement systems, defect detection, and intelligent manufacturing technologies, contributing to several international conference proceedings and journal publications in the fields of robotics, metrology, and industrial automation.
